AGG Attends Beam Queen Bootcamp

This May, AGG athletes Kayden Hoime, Piper Johnson, and Kenadee Ramsey attended Beam Queen Bootcamp. This camp is founded by Samantha Peszek, who was a member of the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics Team at the 2008 Summer Olympics. These attendees made history by being part of the first BQB hosted in North Dakota at Bismarck Gymnastics Academy.

Those who attended got to work with current and retired NCAA gymnasts Kyla Bryant, Wynter Childers, Sydney Converse, Myia Hambrick, Cristal Isa, Maddie Karr, Emma Malabuyo, and Judge Sarah Weninger. AGG staff member, Maddie Wood, also worked alongside these girls at the camp as the floor choreographer. There, she taught three floor routines that groups performed at the end of the camp.

Self-confidence was a huge part of this camp. While working on ways to be confident in their abilities on the beam, gymnasts also had the opportunity to work on beam technique, presentation, dance quality, and skill upgrades. AGG’s competitive program member, Kenadee Ramsey, was awarded with the Resilience Award at the closing ceremony.
